I am currently the Executive Editor at The Rights Factory, a Toronto literary agency, where I specialize in literary fiction, memoir and YA. I also teach in the University of Toronto's SCS/Creative Writing program and am the recipient of the 2019 Teaching Award of Excellence.
Most recently, I became a debut writer, and my YA novel—The World on Either Side—was launched by Orca Book Publishers in September, 2019. I have creative non-fiction in the winter 2018 FreeFall magazine.
When I’m not writing, reading or editing, I like to get out of my head. To that end, I went skydiving with my son on his 21st birthday—an experience that felt out of body as well.
I live in the GTA with my husband, youngest son, calico cat and Siberian husky. (My two oldest kids have left home but still haven’t cleaned out their bedrooms.)
